Unlike on-line auctions where bidding does not advance while potential bidders wait to try to get the last bid in for the minimum advance in price, at the deadline. Absentee bidding starts online ten days prior to the live auction on individual eBay auction pages and is available to hundreds of thousands of bidders. State-of-the-Art Viewing Lang's provides state of the art auction lot viewing for all bidders attending the live auction. Two huge Sony 40" LCD flat screens are used to present crisp, clear, numbered photos of auction lots with a Power Point program to the audience. It is virtually impossible for a bidder to miss bidding on a lot with viewing screens this large. This program ends the need for extra handling of auction items.

Lang's nominal seller commission rate for items over $100 is 20%. The same rate for over 12 years. On Time Consignor Payments
Along with an itemized computer printout and auction review, consignor checks are mailed on or before the contract 30 day period. We have never been late - it's your money.

Deal Directly With The Owner
Lang's is an owner run and operated auction with non technical auction services provided as needed by independent contractors. Lang's Owner, John Ganung is first and foremost a knowledgeable collector and lover of old tackle, and secondarily a producer of auctions. John is a member of the Old Reel Collectors Association (ORCA), Florida Antique Fishing Tackle Collectors (FATC), Carolina Antique Tackle Collectors (CATC) and a Life Member of the National Fishing Lure Collectors Club (NFLCC) since 1978. He has contributed to several tackle reference and price guides and has been buying, selling, trading and appraising fishing tackle since 1968.

Financial Responsibility
In the past there have been auction company bankruptcies, due mainly to bank loan and line of credit foreclosures. Lang's Sporting Collectables, Inc. is solely owned and financed by John & Debbie Ganung, who are also bonded, licensed and insured. There are no bank loans or lines of credit to be canceled. Rather, we run the company the old fashioned way - We Don't Spend More Money Than We Have.
