Ways to Bid...
We encourage your participation by phone. Phone bidding can afford more control as you are connected to a trained Lang's staff member in the actual auction room. Simply mail/fax a completed or call our auction coordinator no later than May 15th to make arrangements. Once confirmed, we will reserve a phone line specifically for your needs, be it one lot or hundreds. On auction day we will call you 5-10 lots before your item of interest. Your representative will bid on your behalf as if you were raising the paddle yourself. At each increment you will confirm your bid, your card will be raised and so forth - it's that easy!
Please do not wait until the day of the auction if you want to bid by phone - if a phone has not been reserved in advanced, we may not be able to accommodate you.
Absentee bidding is offered in-house through Lang's. We offer several features not available to online absentee bidders, including a buyer's premium discount and "+1 bidding". Simply fill out the and mail/fax it to us. Once received we will call to confirm your bid intentions. You also have the option of submitting your bids via email. MAX+ 1 Absentee Bidding:
When filling out your you will need to indicate whether you would like the +1 bid feature. Absentee bids are executed on your behalf by our trained staff in competition with bids from other bidders. In the event two identical absentee bids are received, the first bid submitted will be accepted. In the event your maximum bid ties with a phone, absentee or online bid, +1 bidding allows us to bid one increment higher on your behalf to break the tie in your favor. If you want to take advantage of this type of bidding make sure to indicate +1 on your completed absentee bid form.
Please note, your signed and completed Phone & Absentee Bid Form needs to be received by Thursday, May 16, 2013.
Approximately 10 days prior to the auction you may leave absentee bids online. First time online bidders must register at least 24 hours prior to the auction. You may register and view our free online catalog by going to
Internet Bidding in Real Time:
On the day of the sale simply go to our catalog and click the View Live link to see the sale progress in real time. Watch and listen to the auctioneer as if you were in the room with us. Please be sure to register with Live Auctioneers at least 24 hours in advance of the sale so your absentee and real time bids are transferred to Lang's.
A Live Help link is provided on the top right of the auction page for technical assistance during the sale. This link is attended during the auction by real Live Auctioneers' personnel waiting to answer your questions or help with any issues.
Please note, Live Auctioneers software does not allow you to bid against yourself. If you left an online absentee bid your live bids will not increase the increment until your absentee amount has been exhausted by competing bidders.
An 18% buyer’s premium will be added to all successful bids. A discount of 3%, resulting in a buyer's premium of 15%, will be given to all buyers bidding directly through Lang's and paying with a personal check, cashier's check or money order.
NY State Sales Tax will be paid by all New York residents unless buyer possesses a valid Resale Tax ID number and has provided a signed NYS or out of state resale tax form to Lang's prior to the auction.
A combined invoice for purchases made during both sessions will be emailed to successful buyers following the completion of the auction on Sunday night. The invoice includes full payment instructions and a Paypal link for your convenience. In the event a buyer does not have an email address on file, we will mail a printed invoice.
Combined shipping of your purchases is provided by Lang’s. Shipping costs are included in your invoice total for the added convenience of one payment. All packages are sent with full insurance, delivery confirmation on USPS Priority Mail boxes and tracking numbers for those sent via UPS. For complete details please read our
Lang’s will be providing free pick-ups in Utica, NY on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 1:00pm-5:00pm. Pick up requests must be made in advance.
