This timed auction will start at 7:00pm, with bids accepted for 10 days. Starting at 6:50pm on the evening of the tenth day, if any lot receives a bid, an extension timer of 10 minutes will be added to that lot. The auction will close on all lots that have not received a bid during the last 10 minutes at 7:00pm. If a lot receives a bid between 6:50pm and 7:00pm, a timer will start a 10 minute count down on that lot. Each time another bid is placed, the 10 minute timer resets, until no further bids are placed in 10 minutes, then that lot will close. When all lots have closed, the successful bidders will be emailed an invoice for their purchases.
Will the bid screen be different from the Spring and Fall auctions?
Very similar, but there will be no live sale bidding in real time, so there will be no special bidding room with bid progression bar and no audio/video feed of an auctioneer.
Will the catalog look the same as other Lang's online catalogs?
The timed auction catalog will be identical to Lang's main online auction catalogs, except for the "count down timer".
Do I have to register to look at the items?
No, you will not need to register to view the catalog, however you must register to bid.
When can I register?
As soon as the catalog is live and you see bid buttons, you can register. If you've registered/bid in a Lang's Live auction in the last year, just login to your existing account. If you have not, just click the red Register To Bid button, or click the bid button on any item and you will be prompted to register.
Will there be a minimum start price on the lots?
Yes, each lot will open at $10.
Can I retract my bid like the other auction?
No, bids cannot be reduced or retracted. Your bid is permanent - once placed it cannot be deleted.
Can I pay with Paypal?
Yes. Payment must be made within 10 days following the end of the auction. All major credit cards, personal checks, money orders, and Paypal are accepted. A Paypal link will be included on your invoice.
What is the buyer's premium?
The buyer's premium is 21%.
Will shipping be included on my invoice and how much is it?
Yes. Shipping will be calculated by a percentage of your invoice total as follows:
Shipping & Handling - Invoice Total $10.00 to $1,000.00 = 7%
Shipping & Handling - Invoice Total $1,001.00 to $5,000.00 = 5%
Shipping & Handling - Invoice Total $5,001.00 to $25,000.00 = 3%
Shipping & Handling - Invoice Total $25,001.00+ = 1%
Minimum US shipping charge is $9.00. International shipping minimum is $25.00. As with all Lang's auctions, Please make sure your shipping address is correct on your invoice before making your payment.
All participants are bound by Lang's Condition of Sale.
